A Dog's Prayer
Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart
in all the world is more grateful for kindness
than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should
lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the worlds sweetest music,
as you must know by the fierce wagging
of my tail when your footstep falls on my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside...for I am now a
domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements...
and I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet
beside the hearth...for you are my god, and I am your devoted worshipper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it were dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life be in danger.
And, my beloved master, should the Great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you.
Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me
the merciful bounty of eternal rest...and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.
Remember me not with tearful eyes...but instead with an abounding heart. Should you choose to fill my bed, feel no guilt,
you have not betrayed me. Love another as you always loved me...
and they too will love you as I always have.

A Quick Update! - (March 2022)
Hi Everyone!
I wanted to apologize for our absence as of lately! I have been working hard these last two years updating the kennel, restructuring, and working on producing the best quality Maltese puppies for my customers! The good news is my son Jason Tessner and his wife Brandi Tessner have joined TooSweet Kennel! Both are honest, dependable, dog-lovers and will help you in any way they can! We hope to have new litters soon and we thank you for your patience and loyalty.
Business is 31 years strong and we are excited to keep growing and doing what we do best!

About Us!
We live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
Our animals are very important to us and we love each and every one. We breed for the improvement of the Maltese breed, the love of the breed, and for family pets. We raise our puppies for health and quality with over 30 years breeding experience. People come to us for companions and therapy dogs from all over the United States.
We are personally inspected by the AKC and always receive an excellent rating. We are honest people and enjoy getting to know our visitors. We always look forward to seeing everyone get a new puppy. Our puppies are well socialized and get lots of play time and love from our family.
Our kennel has a large 24 x 50 building with insulated and heated dog houses, each one individuality heated with concrete runs. We clean our pens & runs twice a day. Clorox and disinfectants are used to clean with daily to ensure our pens are sanitized effectively. We begin paper-training our puppies as soon as the mother weans them to make the transition to housebreaking easier for their new owners. Our puppies are typically ready to go at 8 weeks except in the instance of very small puppies who need extra time to grow and flourish. These puppies are usually held until 10-15 weeks. We are proud of our dogs and their puppies and enjoy having visitors! We also love and encourage your emails and phone calls with updates on your new puppies and how they are doing! We encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns and we are available to you for the life of your puppy!

We do ship by air in the USA, if weather permits,
but shipping is done at the new owners expense.
